I do not remember the names of what I ordered but they were good. I especially liked the muffin with the whole egg inside. It was savory with egg and I think there were bits of sausage or bacon inside. It also came with a bit of salt on the side. I highly recommend getting it. The cafe had other pastries as well. We tried the one that seemed like a croissant, which was good as well. The service is quick, and you go find a seat once you pay for your order.

The Rebel Within is so good and always a good start to the day; ask for it heated if you're eating right away. The restaurant has limited seating and is usually filled with people on their laptops, but I was able to snag one of the two tables outside on a sunny day to enjoy my breakfast. I also got a delicious hot chai latte with almond milk (note that almond milk is $1 extra which I was not aware of before ordering).

We went to craftsman and wolves on Valencia street for breakfast. The street is super cute and the service is nice. They have some of the best savory pastries that are very well crafted. I got the limited edition Korean elote stack made with super fine yolky egg to the perfect combined with corn and cheese. The frittata was well made with milk bread. The crossaint came with ham inside giving it a good sweet savory texture. My favorite would still be the limited edition Korean elote stack.

I really enjoyed the ambience and rebel within at Craftsman and Wolves, and I look forward to trying more pastries and delectable-looking cakes. Rebel within is a pocket-sized powerhouse of a pastry. It's flavorful (especially with the crunchy Tabasco salt and pickled carrots), moist with a delicate crumb, and buttery and rich with a perfectly drippy boiled egg. It was delicious, and I'm afraid it outshone the remainder of my order. The cappuccino was, albeit beautifully made, your average cappuccino. A hot coffee is a must, however, for accompanying a freshly baked pastry, so I still recommend a trying one of their coffees. I was intrigued by the croissant bostock, but it was a bit of a disappointment. The edges were almost a bit stale tasting, and the bulk of it was somewhat dry. Even though dragonfruit isn't really a strong flavor, I still think it missed the mark as the pastry was largely flavorless. I was also missing the frangipane. The other pastries looked beautiful and fresh, so maybe this was a one-off. The bakery is very clean, the service was friendly, and the vibes were good! It wasn't too crowded around 9am on a Sunday, which was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to my next visit.
